Why would anyone bother to pick plants or mushrooms growing wild in their backyard instead of mowing them over? What advantages could foraging for food out in nature have over buying produce at your local grocery store? Even on a very tiny piece of land, you can walk out into your backyard and find at least a dozen plants to eat most months out of the year with a higher nutritional value than anything you can get at the store. If you pick those plants while barefoot on the earth, you can also reduce your physical pain and stress by grounding! What better way to take care of your body with such little effort?
