Barbara Hemphill started her career in the organizing industry in 1978 with a $7 ad in a New York City newspaper. In 1988 she released her first book Taming the Paper Tiger which became a bestseller and launched her title of “The Paper Tiger Lady.”
Barbara is the founder of Productive Environment Institute, with offices in Raleigh and Carolina Beach, NC, and a team of Certified Productive Environment Specialists™ who work virtually worldwide. Their passion is helping professionals accomplish their work and enjoy their lives without disorganization and overwhelm.

Barbara’s most recent book, Less Clutter More Life, reveals that physical and digital clutter is a symptom of emotional and spiritual clutter.
