It's never too early to teach our teens about money management. But what are their underlying assumptions about money?
We gather our ideas about money from the following areas: gender, geography, culture, economic influences and spiritual influences. We all have a Money Blueprint and that Blueprint hinders or helps our teens to learn to spend or save at an early age. Uncovering these often hidden beliefs about money can impact how we go through life living in either abundance or scarcity. Your beliefs determine your actions which determine your lifelong results.
Without being too nerdy, Dr. Good will discuss the Neuroscience behind the concept, “The focus of your attention brings you more of the same,” or being grateful brings more opportunities to be grateful. You get more of what you focus on, the more you will receive.
This presentation demonstrates tools that can be used by the individual to lessen stress and anxiety. These include breathing techniques, activating your parasympathetic system to lower blood pressure and heart rate by vagal nerve stimulation, and increasing serotonin and dopamine levels with the practice of brain-altering gratitude techniques.
