HI, my name is Kaden Mattinson and I am the Executive Director of Mending Minds Village, Family Peer Support Specialist, QPR Instructor, and most importantly a father and husband. 5 years ago I discovered the need to advocate for juvenile mental health and empower youth through their own journey. I learned how important the work of empowering our child’s voice was, and it led me to creating this amazing organization. I now know firsthand what it is like to watch your child suffer through their mental illness, and how to advocate for them and empower them to get their needs addressed, and this is why I now speak to youth and their families on the importance of their mental well-being and family support.
My goal is to empower today’s youth of any age to obtain mental health treatment, to use their voice, and to teach families how to advocate for their family members. In doing this, I believe we can create massive change, and show the world that mental health is as crucial to mend as physical health and should be treated equally! It takes a Village to raise a child, it takes an even larger village to support a family!
When I am not speaking, you can find me in the wilderness enjoying all that this beautiful world of ours has to display. Most importantly, you will find me implementing my own words and ideas to better my family’s mental health and achieve our goals and successes! I look forward to connecting and being a part of your next event so that together we can better the lives of all children and empower their mental health journey!
