I would like to talk about my new book and the reason for it, which is to help encourage and inspire others who are going through the same or similar struggles with not only cancer or some other hideous disease, but any significant challenge life has to offer. My book, Finally Fit, which is about my learning to pole vault at age 60, is also  intended to inspire especially older people that it's never too late to achieve a goal or a dream.

Growing up, we learned that mental health was a taboo subject creating stigmas and resulting in children today being unheard. Our jobs depend on us, our families depend on us, and more importantly, WE depend on us.
