Attributes for Leadership and Growth
Anita Jindal Sr. Director, Engineering

Are leaders Born, or can we develop leadership skills?

Every one of us have a leader within us, and Leadership attributes can be learned.  We might have started on different tracks, individual contributor, management and are progressing to leadership roles.  Each role requires leadership skills. We will discuss skills and behaviors to effectively function and thrive in the leadership role.

Anita transitioned from being a technical lead to managing a team. As a new manager she was still engaged in day-to-day development.  She soon realized the importance of delegating and developing the next set of technical leaders so that she could focus on strategy, execution, and leading teams.  As she grew in her career, she developed her own signature for leadership and values.  She discovered that for unique situations, we must develop skills to deal with ambiguity, and tap into the expertise of our network.

In this session, Anita will share practical framework, including skills and attributes as she transitioned from being a team lead to a leader.

The High Performer Paradox - Transforming Imposter Culture in The workplace
Jeremy Richards Jeremy

At 14 years old, living in an unfinished attic space in a halfway house, Jeremy witnessed his father's life threatened by an ex-conviot. In a flash, Jeremy saw three opposing forces working for an unknown win. The three forces were the victim, the assailant, and the bystander. Intrigue for human behavior and threat response set Jeremy into a three-decade search for courage and self-awareness.
Decades later, despite moving on to successful careers in radio, writing, and leadership development, Jeremy was still plagued by his challenges with confidence. He saw a similar pattern with his coaching clients-often among top talent. Along with insights from research, Jeremy drew on his childhood experience as a metaphor for the mental jailor we face every day. What many have previously described as the inner critic, Jeremy redefined as "the inner guard," a protection for an interest not always aligned with goal-seeking.
In Jeremy's keynote speech, derived from his book, The Accomplished Creative: Overcome Imposter Syndrome, Forge Courage, and Tap Into Limitless Creativity, Jeremy runs through the gamut of emotions to pass the inner guard and unlock the boundaries for your highest performer. Fortunately for Jeremy, his inner voice has a knack for humor in tough situations. and his expertise in leadership development brings in grounded theory and action plans.

"Jeremy has an instinctive way to communicate with people. His years of experience make him an innovative leader, trainer and team-builder. He can inspire a group to move mountains." Kent Whipple, Storytelling Coach & Marketing Director

The pernicious nature of imposter syndrome is likely to fester outside of key projects, challenging one's ability for absolute growth.
While high standards are vital for high performance, balance and structure are imperative in taming toxicity in the name of a supportive culture.

Leading With Ease
Lisa Wilson Leadership Coach

In her book, "Leading with Ease" Lisa takes us through what she calls the 4 'roots' of leadership. In this session we will work through 2 roots of the 4 roots:

1. Know the Destination.

2. Know Your Role

When we are clear on these pieces, our role as a leader gets easier. If you have a team working for you they will become more cohesive and motivated, because they are confident in their roles and are clear on where we are headed and what's important in getting there. If you are leading a team of one (yourself), decisions get easier and you will know when to push forward and when to take a break, so that you are showing up as the best version of yourself.  These roots help you step into leading yourself, and as a bonus creates cohesiveness when you are leading a team.

REACTOR or CREATOR: How Do You See Yourself as a Leader?
Ly Smith Speaker Performance Consultant

When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change.  ~Wayne Dyer

What if the “thing” you are looking at is YOU?

Being an effective leader begins with leading yourself. During this interactive time together, Ly will guide attendees to see their best self so that they can lead powerfully in their world.

Leading yourself requires believing in yourself. Ly will share her insights on how to empower your affirmations.

The decisions we make as leaders is controlled 95% by our unconscious mind and only 5% of our conscious mind. Ly will share how powerful this can be through an exercise.

These micro-shifts in mindset can lead to massive changes in one's leadership including but not limited to boosting self-confidence, improving communication, and enhancing relationships with others.

Climbing the Right Mountain
Tony Martignetti Chief Inspiration Officer

Are you driven? Do you focus on a goal and give it all you have?

How we navigate our careers and lives is like climbing a mountain with many challenges and stops along the way. The climb is full of many decision points, and often we question if we are making the right choices.

But what if the mountain you are climbing is not what you expected?

We rarely speak about the enormous population of people who get to the top of the mountain only to realize they gave everything they had only to summit the wrong peak.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is living in a state of constant doing. If you are constantly doing, then your focus is all about climbing, making good time, getting to the next plateau, and, above all else, planting your flag before someone else does. And yet, many people have taken this path only to look around and realize their flag was meant for a completely different peak.

In this interactive session Tony Martignetti, the Chief Inspiration Officer and Founder of Inspired Purpose Coaching will discuss how you can shift your perspective and set a course that will fulfill you personally and professionally.
