One day while in my math for liberal arts class, I went all in on a story that begin to come to mind. I would finish that story, polish it, edit it, and submit it to a reputable Top 5 publishing house in NYC. I won that contest, got a trip to NYC, my book published and contracts for my subsequent books, and it all launched a significant life change and my success and validation from that single moment, bled into all part of my life changing them for the better. 

Fast forward 24 years and twenty books later, I am still writing and will never abandon this awesome skill that has gotten me into everywhere I've wanted to go!
