Put your Wallet Away and Raise Rich Kids

Based on the book, “Coffee and Wisdom: A Father's Legacy to Leading a Rich Life” by Rosemary Olender, this presentation is about the non-material “gifts” that a father gave to his children. These gifts served to make them rich in emotional intelligence, resiliency, self-worth, human connections, and core values; all of which led to their personal and professional success. Through this presentation, audience members will discover how to build deep connections with their kids and students; the power of honesty, humor, patience and gratitude; and simple ways to teach key life lessons---without spending a dime.

Real life stories and practical advice and strategies are provided to guide parents, educators and mentors to teach and model values that last a lifetime and help to shape strong, kind, and confident children. The lessons here demonstrate that connection is more powerful than correction, that everyday moments hold deep wisdom, and that parenting is a journey of growth--for adults too. Self-awareness, patience and self-compassion are explored, and parents, educators and mentors will learn that their own mindset, tone and presence have a profound impact on a child's development.

Put your wallets away. Open your hearts and raise children that are rich in the things that matter.
