Stepping Outside My Comfort Zone: Sharing My Construction Industry Journey!

Hey everyone!

I'm excited to announce that I'm venturing into the world of public speaking! Public speaking used to terrify me (who knew?), but with over 30 years in the building industry, I have a treasure trove of experiences - both successes and failures - that I'd love to share.

Why I Get It

Back in 2005, I felt the same frustration many of you face. I was running the family business alongside my father, a fantastic mentor who instilled a strong foundation. However, the industry was changing, and we needed a new approach. I sought out a business coach, but their one-size-fits-all approach focused on generic marketing—it just didn't translate to construction. I spent a lot of money and got nowhere.

That's when I realized there was a gap in the industry, a need for someone who truly understood the construction landscape. Sadly, it took another 15 years for me to act on that realization.

From Frustrated Business Owner to Passionate Coach

Losing my father in 2021  solidified my purpose: helping construction businesses succeed. My clients see me as both a mentor and advisor, someone as passionate about their business as they are. I offer constructive criticism and act as a sounding board for tough decisions.

Sharing My Knowledge: From Podcast to Public Speaking

I now share my experiences through my bi-weekly podcast, "Bust and Beyond," where we delve into lessons learned from both business and personal failures. Public speaking is the next step – a chance to connect with a wider audience and share the knowledge I've gained the hard way.
