Rasheda Kamaria Williams is an award-winning mentor, speaker and author of “Be EmPOWERed: How to Live Above & Beyond Life’s Drama” – a guidebook and journal written for an inspired by girls. She is the founder and chief empowering officer for Empowered Flower Girl and a staunch youth advocate.
From growing up in a single-parent household to being the first in the family to graduate high school and college with honors, Rasheda has defied the odds. She holds a B.A. in journalism from Wayne State University’s Journalism Institute for Media Diversity and has extensive training in youth development, community relations and interpersonal communication.
For more than a decade, Rasheda has been committed to making a difference in the lives of women and children.
Her passion and advocacy for youth and social change have earned Empowered Flower Girl numerous accolades, including Kumon North America’s “Impact Award” and SASHE’s “Top 10 Companies for Women and Girls.” Rasheda also was named one of “29 Inspirational Female Entrepreneurs Who Are Positively Impacting The World” and featured in Exeleon Magazine as one of “15 Dynamic Entrepreneurs of 2020.” In 2021, MentHer magazine featured Rasheda in its “Top 20 Social Impact Founders” list. In 2022, she was named among Hope magazine’s Hope 25 and honored as a Community Icon by Esteem We/Detroit Possible.
