Pierre Battah is an award-winning author and a recognized leadership and HR specialist. A long-time nationally syndicated workplace columnist for CBC/Radio-Canada, he is also a TEDx presenter and a former senior HR executive. Pierre previously served as an associate professor of management at Mount Allison University.
His book, Humanity at Work: Leading for Better Relationships and Results (Life to Page Publishing), won the Gold Medal in the Business and Leadership category at the prestigious Nautilus Book Awards—an honor shared with past winners such as His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Rhonda Byrne (The Secret), and Deepak Chopra.
Fluently bilingual in French and English, Pierre holds an MBA and is certified as a human resource professional, a management consultant, and a professional speaker. He serves as an executive in residence and moderator at the University of New Brunswick’s Wallace McCain Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
Pierre has been recognized as Chartered Professional in HR of the Year by his peers and was recently named a Fellow Chartered Professional in HR, one of the highest honors in the field and awarded to only a select few across Canada.
In addition, he received Rotary International’s highest honour, the Paul Harris Award, for his outstanding contributions to the community.
Pierre lives with his wife Gabrielle in Moncton, New Brunswick, where he also performs on the double bass with several jazz and classical music ensembles.
