Penny is an Operations Manual Specialist and bestselling author of Manual Magic: Create the Operations Manual Your Franchisees Need to Succeed. She helps operators of multi-site businesses to reduce incidents, accidents and wastage and improve engagement and employee retention by reimagining the dull, text-heavy Operations Manual (that nobody under 40 reads) as an engaging, dynamic Knowledge-Sharing Environment in which team members can participate, learn and grow. She's a former Middle East Correspondent specialising in socio-economics in the 70s, 80s and early 90s. A guest of Saddam Hussein, the Iraqi President, she had access to people and places few women see. She was Launch Editor of Media International, the European Journal for Planners of International Advertising, and Quality Correspondent for the Institute of Purchasing Supply which led to launching Manual Writers International in 1976.
