For over 37 years, she has educated audiences about the pivotal role Tennessee played in ratifying the 19th Amendment and the continuing importance of voting rights. Paula is the author of The Perfect 36: Tennessee Delivers Woman Suffrage and co-founder of the Tennessee Woman Suffrage Heritage Trail. She currently serves as Chair of the National Votes for Women Trail Committee.

Paula is passionate about sharing the stories behind America’s greatest nonviolent struggle—women winning the right to vote—and draws powerful connections between past and present civic movements.
