Bio

I have worked under the Human Resources umbrella for over 25 years providing executive coaching, HR consulting, and corporate training. In addition to my corporate background I am also an experienced entrepreneurial coach in private practice, holding an Accredited Master Coach credential. My dual interests in business and human behavior led me to the completion of two business degrees and a Masters degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

During my career I have had the honor of coaching clients in roles from individual contributors through the C-suite, worldwide, in over 15 industries. I have co-authored two books, am working on a third, and am an accomplished public speaker. As a Certified Woman-owned Small business, I am also frequently retained to provide my services to government entities.

I am driven by a belief that human beings have a responsibility to one another to create environments that are respectful, peaceful, productive, and psychologically safe. Continuous behavioral transformation is necessary to eliminate hostile and uncivil behavior in the workplace. Corporations can drive this initiative by influencing, encouraging, and supporting their leaders to make measurable and sustainable behavioral changes that can be modeled throughout the organization.

This belief influences my vision to create a behavioral shift in corporate culture that increases the overall integrity, productivity, and impact of the organization.

Using Non-violent Communication to Manage High Stakes Conversations Using Non-violent Communication to Manage High Stakes Conversations

Women have unique strengths that they often neglect in the business world. Empathy, active listening, perspective-taking, and many other soft skills are seldom used in high stakes conversations. But women excel in these areas! Get clear on how to combine your superpowers with a process called Nonviolent Communication (NVC). NVC takes empathy to the next level and is something that can be applied in all areas of your life, with groups or individuals. You no longer need to use slick negotiation techniques, dread difficult conversations, or deal with the anxiety of giving tough feedback. Leverage your natural abilities, plus NVC, to master confidence and assertiveness in the workplace, build trust, and resolve conflict.

Attendees will learn how to:

•Leverage empathy to build trust in any relationship
•Utilize the concept of NVC to eliminate power struggles in conversations
•Conduct high-stakes conversations while staying grounded and maintaining your personal power.
