Bio

In 2004, speaker and team builder Milo Shapiro added the public speaking skills coaching side of his business (called “Public Dynamics”), helping individuals become more prepared, polished and powerful upon the platform.  Clients range from CEOs at Sharp Health Care and Precision Diagnostics to entrepreneurs, community leaders, middle-managers, and sales reps.

For virtual presentations, Milo focuses on his presentation “Public Speaking: Get A’s, Not Zzzzzz’s!”  (based on his book by that name), which provides a fresh voice on this old topic.  The program is lively, story-filled, and full of points that take speakers to their next level of ability, helping attendees feel more “Prepared, Polished, and Powerful” whenever and wherever they speak.

As a 20+ year member of the National Speakers Association, his interactive improv game-filled motivational speech “We Gotta Fail…To Succeed!” has delighted in-person attendees at Southwest Airlines, Minolta, US Navy, General Dynamic and more.

"Public Speaking: Get A's, Not Zzzzzz's!"

Since 2004, one-on-one public speaking coach Milo Shapiro, author of "Public Speaking: Get A's, Not Zzzzzz's!", has transformed hundreds of professionals to be prepared, polished, and powerful when they speak (thousands, counting keynote audiences!)

With his playful, story-filled approach, Milo covers these topics and more:

  • capturing the power of story to make points sizzle
  • setting the stage with your body to help people visualize
  • the Seven Variants of Vocal Variety™
  • the Four Stages to Successful Speech Structure™
  • common ways that we alienate / distract our audiences
  • taking control of Q&A

Milo believes much of the problem in speaking comes from the assumption that if one knows English and their topic, then they're ready to speak!  Oy! There is a lot to know about HOW to write for speaking and deliver it well that most of us never learn…and we pay the price for it (as do our audiences).

Full of fun and loaded with juicy aha's to avoid learner burnout!  Whether this topic gives you the chills OR it's an area at which you excel, there will be valuable ideas from this nearly 20 year member of the National Speakers Association.
