I am an author, speaker, and productivity and time management strategist (or 'productivityist') based out of Victoria, BC, Canada. My company is Productivityist, and the company's mission is to help people stop 'doing' productive and start 'being' productive through a variety of online and offline resources that I facilitate.

I am the author of "The Front Nine: How to Start the Year You Want Anytime You Want," published by Diversion Books. I have also self-published several eBooks, most recently "The Productivityist Playbook."

I have served as the Managing Editor at Lifehack, and have served in an editorial capacity for Work Awesome (Envato) and The Next Web. In addition, I have contributed guest articles to several other sites in the sphere as well, including The Huffington Post, GTD Times, 99u, Lifehacker, and SUCCESS Magazine.

I have been writing and performing for 12 years -- and have taken that experience to enhance my speaking career. I have given talks on productivity, time, and task management at TEDxVictoria, Social Media Camp, New Media Expo, and South by Southwest. I have also facilitated workshops related to task, time, project and goal management, most notably a three-day workshop for the popular online education platform creativeLIVE and one of the top-rated and enrolled classes on productivity at Skillshare.

In the podcasting realm, I have created, produced and hosted several over the years. I currently host A Productive Conversation with Mike Vardy, a podcast that features insights and conversations surrounding productivity and workflow. I have also made guest appearances on CBC Radio’s On The Island, 70Decibels’ Enough, and the popular FourCast podcast on the TWiT network.
