Lee's mission is to positively touch the lives of 100,000 people affected by death and trauma by 2030.
Lee Atherton, an international speaker, and best-selling author, is a death, grief, and resilience coach with over 15 years of experience.
Talking about death and dying is hard. We all know it is inevitable, but we don't want to imagine it happening to us or someone we love. We go to great lengths to avoid the subject. And so, when the inevitable comes, we're not prepared. We don't know what to do, what to say, or even how to be!
Lee is honored to support people as they "live their dying" by discovering the beauty and the gifts to be found along the way. What is left to accomplish? Who do you want to see again? What relationships need mending? Where do you want to live? How do you want to be cared for? What do you want your family to know? How will you tell them? There are only some of the questions that many people suddenly find themselves asking. Often there isn't a comfortable place to turn for help finding your answers. CoachRev Lee will explore these questions and more with you. We will look at the hard questions to find solutions that resonate with you on a deeper level in a safe, judgment-free, and meaningful way.
It is Lee's calling and privilege to journey with people through the chaos of grief which she often refers to as "navigating grief's whitewater." Imagine the out-of-control feeling of riding through raging waters as your raft is tossed in every direction, holding on for dear life! You have no idea how you'll make it through in one piece. Lee is that rafting guide who will help you navigate the chaos until you reach the tranquil pool of peace and stillness. Whether you coach 1:1 with Lee, join her drop-in grief groups, or be part of her retreats, you will find the companionship, support, and guidance you need to navigate your grief journey.
Recognizing the unique challenges of professionals who frequently encounter death and trauma, Lee also offers coaching and training to guide first responders, ER and ICU staff, and funeral workers back to the passion and drive that first brought them to their careers. Lee's "business partner" is her black lab Shadow. Together they serve as a certified Crisis Response team providing comfort for those in crisis or those who have experienced trauma or death.
