Founder of Unleash Your Speech and the creator of Comfortable and Confident: Building Lasting Executive Presence, Laurel shares the practice actors use to lend authenticity and strength in their performance to help professionals, managers and leaders who struggle against the fear of speaking up, find calm and ease in their bodies so they never miss an opportunity to articulate their message with confidence and make the impact they desire. Head of Voice at the National Theatre School of Canada and award-winning actor at the Stratford Festival, she has had the privilege of working with everyone from Inuit performers and Drum Dancers in Nunavut to managers on the Mercedes DTM team in Germany.
She holds an MFA in Theatre and Voice Teaching at York University and is a recipient of a Tyrone Guthrie award.
30 years of teaching, acting, and directing has taught her that connecting to the audience begins with connecting to yourself.
And it is way easier than you think!
