Kevin A Dunlap has a BA degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics from the University of West Florida.  He has three years of graduate studies in Physical Meteorology at Florida State University.   Kevin did serve in the U.S. Navy for nearly 5 years and was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan for four years.  

Kevin has been a speaker for many years starting off as a graduate student at Florida State University (FSU).  This taught him skills and techniques, like being flexible and adaptable to different situations, that he still uses today.  He was a college math teacher at two community colleges in the Wilmington, NC area from 2000 to 2003.  

Kevin became a self-published author in 2015 when he wrote his first book titled Lease Options Made Easy - Buying a Home with Little, No, or Bad Credit.  In 2016 after publishing his second book (Designing Your Own Destiny - Embracing Change through Leadership and Love) he created a podcast that lasted for two seasons.  This led to his third book in 2019 which was all about mindset (The Winner's Code - Secrets of the Winner's Mindset).  At the tail end of the pandemic in early 2021, he felt the need to share insights from years of entrepreneurship and after attending dozens of business and personal growth seminars he wrote his fourth book Launch! - The A to Z in Creating a Successful Business. 

After a tragic life event in late 2021, he made the decision to relocate to North Carolina and wanted to put his teachings into a new endeavor.  He formed the company Optimal Performance Academy which is an organization that includes creating online courses, group & private coaching, and public speaking to different organizations and groups. 

His goal is to speak and share his knowledge with other small business owners through any of his many topics.
