Kereisia Brown-Lyesam (Mrs.) achieved an MBA, B.Ed. in Food Service Production and Management from the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTECH), and a Teaching Diploma from The Mico University College. Mrs. Brown-Lyesam has been a corporate and institutional trainer and lecturer for over 10 years.
Mrs. Brown-Lyesam is a lay Minister of the Gospel, an empowerment speaker who inspires people who are facing limitation and self-doubt and gives them strategies on how to overcome these obstacles to bring about success.
Currently, she works as the Head of Department for Hospitality and Tourism at the college level and was previously an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Technology, Jamaica. Previously, Mrs. Lyesam managed training for over 1700 employees including managers, supervisors, and frontline staff in all departments at the Best Dressed Chicken Processing Plant (BDC-PP) and Further Processing Facilities (BD-FPF). Food Safety and ISO Auditors both locally and internationally were very impressed with the training programme framework, implementation, and the efficient results in increasing employees’ performance for the organization to be in compliance.
Coupled with training, she conducted internal auditing using the standards of ISO 9001 and 1400 and conducted food safety inspections at the staff canteen. She was also a Commis Chef and Conversational French Instructor at Runaway Bay HEART Trust NTA and a certified NCTVET Examination Assessor who assesses students in competency-based programs. Also, English Assistant at Lycée Jean Racine in Amiens, France.
Mrs. Kereisia Brown-Lyesam believes that if businesses are more consistent in employing the right strategies and employees are trained effectively to increase work performance, then they will achieve their goals.
