Jeaninne Escallier Kato, a retired educator and current teacher coach for the state of California, is the author of the self-published children’s book, Manuel’s Murals, and her self-published memoir, B.J.’s Promise: How My Dying Dog Found My True Love.

Jeaninne’s flash fiction pieces placed first and second in the “WOW-Women on Writing” fiction contests. She is published in two Chicken Soup for the Soul anthologies and has a story in the coffee book anthology Gifts From Our Grandmothers. She is the host of the Auburn Community Television show called “Staging the Third Act,” which can also be found on YouTube. She lives in Northern California with her husband, Glenn, and their ten-year-old rescue dog, Bobby.

Jeaninne is ready to release her third book, Brown Soul White Skin— a collection of fiction and non-fiction stories honoring her passion for Mexico.
