Imagine uncovering the hidden truths behind home construction and what risks lie beneath the surface of your next big investment. Former TV weatherman and show host turned documentary filmmaker, George Siegal, brings this critical perspective to the table. His upcoming film, "Built to Last: Buyer Beware," exposes how homes are often built to the minimum standards despite available knowledge and technology. This eye-opening documentary teaches consumers about the real risks and encourages them to be their own best advocates in navigating these waters. Having George on your podcast would not only draw in listeners with his engaging stories but also equip them with the knowledge to make empowered decisions. It’s a conversation that will transform how your audience views home buying and self-reliance.

I’m the director and producer of Built to Last: Buyer Beware, a documentary film that addresses the issue of poorly constructed homes and their consequences for homeowners and communities. The film exposes the causes of the problem while showcasing examples of well-built structures. As a Florida resident I wanted this film to be wake-up call to everyone who lives here about the dangers we face and aren’t properly prepared for. We were a small crew of 5 and visited Fort Myers and Sanibel Island, Naples, Tampa, Cedar Key Tallahassee, and Mexico Beach.
