This is an example talk for Charu Seth
Most midlife advice tells high-achieving women to find their passion, practice gratitude, or "embrace this chapter." But the woman at 45, 50, 55 who built the career, raised the family, and met everyone's expectations doesn't have a motivation problem — she has an identity that quietly expired. The roles that once defined her no longer fit, and no amount of pushing harder brings her back to herself.
In this talk, I reframe midlife not as a crisis to survive but as a reckoning to harness — the moment a woman stops performing the self she was expected to be and reclaims the one she buried to become "successful." Drawing on my work in identity reconstruction, I begin to explore why reinvention stalls, why transition can feel like grief, and what it takes to turn that reckoning into an identity-level transformation — so you don't just lead what's ahead, you step into it fully as the woman you actually are.
My attendees leave able to name what they've outgrown, understand why "just push harder" keeps failing, and take the first real step toward an identity that finally fits.
