Boni Woodland is an author, artist, and storyteller who speaks about resilience, domestic abuse, religious trauma, creativity, and finding possibilities later in life. At nearly 70, she draws from lived experience to explore what it means to move beyond survival and reclaim the parts of ourselves that were silenced or set aside. Her story “Brushstrokes of Resilience” appears in The Cinderella Monologues, 3rd Edition, and she is the author of the memoir Turning Survival into Words: From Houses of Fear to Freedom. Boni welcomes interviews, podcasts, panels, and events focused on women’s stories, resilience, creativity, aging, surviving coercive relationships, and rebuilding a life after trauma. Her message is not simply that we can survive difficult circumstances, but that when we reclaim our right to choose and make our own meaning from what we've lived through, our lives can continue to grow in directions we never imagined.
