Dr. April Ruffin is a board-certified internal medicine physician, wellness consultant, and healthcare leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning clinical practice, executive leadership, and health equity advocacy. She has practiced medicine for over a decade in both rural and urban settings, delivering patient-centered care while addressing systemic gaps that impact underserved communities.

She is the Founder and CEO of Renee Health LLC, where she leads health literacy, professional wellness, and leadership initiatives for organizations and communities seeking sustainable approaches to workforce well-being. Known for her ability to translate complex medical and wellness concepts into practical, actionable insight, Dr. Ruffin has been featured as a trusted health expert on Fox 5 News and WMAR-2 News.

Beyond clinical and consulting work, Dr. Ruffin is the Co-Founder and Vice President of Young Debs Inc., a youth development nonprofit serving students ages 8 to 18 across the greater Baltimore region. For more than two decades, she has guided strategic planning, mentorship programming, and cross-sector partnerships focused on leadership development, education, and social mobility.

Dr. Ruffin holds a Women in Leadership certification from Cornell University and facilitates national workshops on mentorship, professional wellness, leadership communication, and organizational culture.
