Bio

Annemarie Shrouder is an international speaker, facilitator, consultant, and bestselling author of Being Brown in a Black and White World: Conversations for Leaders on Race, Racism and Belonging. For over 20 years, she has been helping organizations and leaders around the world build healthy workplace communities where people feel valued, connected, and able to thrive.

Through her signature focus on connection, community, and care, Annemarie supports leaders in reclaiming time for themselves, so they can show up with greater clarity, compassion, and courage. She believes that belonging begins with self-connection, and that when leaders embody this, they create the conditions for stronger teams, greater engagement, and lasting impact.

Known for her ability to create spaces of deep awareness and transformation, Annemarie draws on her lived experience as a biracial, queer-identified woman, mother, and former elite athlete. She brings authenticity, warmth, and bold honesty to her work — inviting audiences to “notice more” of themselves and each other, and to step into leadership that is both human and revolutionary.
