The Power Gap Summit – Speaker Packet
Overview
The Power Gap Summit is a hybrid (online and in-person), action-driven event designed to move women entrepreneurs from information into execution. This is not a motivational event, it is meant to deliver practical tools and strategies focused on closing the economic power gap for women.
We are addressing the $5–7 trillion gap for women entrepreneurs driven by unequal access to capital, systems, networks, visibility, and revenue strategies.
Our goal is to activate real change starting locally in Escambia County.
This event is on Wednesday, April 22, online and in-person at Calliope Films, 501 E Gadsden St, Pensacola.
Audience
- Women entrepreneurs (primarily $0–$250K in revenue, many under $50K)
- Growth-stage but operationally inefficient
- Seeking visibility, revenue growth, systems, and strategic direction
- We are planning for 20-50 in-person attendees as well as online attendees
Speaker Expectations
This summit is designed for implementation, not inspiration.
Each session should:
- Include at least one actionable framework, model, or process
- Provide 1–3 clear next steps attendees can implement immediately
- Share real examples, case studies, or lived experience
Session Formats
Live (April 22):
- In-person talk (15–20 minutes, limited spots)
- Live interview with Kolleen (15 minutes, guided questions)
Pre-Recorded:
- Recorded talk (15–20 minutes)
- Recorded interview with Kolleen (15 minutes, guided questions)

3. The Strategic Execution Gap
Focus: CEO leadership, planning, decision-making, sustainable growth
Why it matters: Many women operate reactively instead of strategically, leading to burnout and stalled growth.
Speaker Angle: How to shift from operator to CEO.
What this looks like in a talk:
- Share a planning or prioritization framework
- Show how to move from reactive to proactive decision-making
- Provide a weekly or monthly execution model
4. The Resource & Network Gap
Focus: Strategic partnerships, collaboration, relationship leverage
Why it matters: Limited access to high-value networks slows growth and limits opportunity.
Speaker Angle: How to build and activate powerful relationships.

- Provide a strategy for expanding networks intentionally
5. The Visibility Gap

What this looks like in a talk:
- Show pricing or offer restructuring examples
- Share a sales framework or conversion strategy
- Provide steps to increase revenue without burnout

Are You Applying for Business Grants? It's Easier Than You Think!Kolleen Chesley Featured SpeakerMany women entrepreneurs are leaving money on the table not because they lack capability, but because they aren’t accessing the funding available to them.
In this micro-session, you’ll be introduced to the concept of building a fundable business and why business grants are one of the most overlooked opportunities for women entrepreneurs. Many women owners don't realize that grants exist specifically for for-profit businesses and that many are designed to be accessible, with minimal barriers to entry.
This session breaks down the power of microgrants, how they work, and why applying for funding does more than bring in capital—it forces you to position your business at a higher level, with clarity, confidence, and visibility.
If you’ve never applied for a business grant, this is your starting point. You’ll walk away with real examples, immediate opportunities, and a clear next step to begin accessing funding that can accelerate your growth.
Stop Waiting, Start Leading: How Women Turn Ideas, Instinct, and Influence into ResultsQuint Studer co-CEO of the Studer Family of CompaniesIn this session, Quint Studer challenges how women show up as leaders, authors, and decision-makers—and where they unintentionally hold themselves back.
You’ll learn why waiting for perfection delays visibility and how to start sharing your ideas now to build authority. He introduces “Park Ranger Leadership,” a powerful shift from rescuing others to equipping them for long-term success. Most importantly, he highlights intuition as a competitive advantage—one many women trust personally but hesitate to use in business.
This conversation is about moving from hesitation to action: publishing your voice, leading with intention, and trusting your instincts to make stronger decisions.
If you’ve ever questioned whether you’re ready, this session will challenge that—and show you what to do next.
Balancing Sugar and Spice with Efficiency and EffectivenessDr. Lusharon Wiley Exec Director Equity Project AllianceBeing a Chief Executive and changing the mindset from employee to owner is difficult to navigate. There are so many questions to explore. What is the stuff that it takes to be an effective chief executive? What do I need to know – and do – to become more efficient? Do I hold on to what society has told me or do I need to add a bit of flavor to the mix? How do I ensure that I am still being me? What makes a CEO powerful without losing the core values of respect and care? What is the right mix of ingredients? How do I make my priorities clear? How do I avoid trying to do everything at once? What does the complete package look like to me? What are my non-negotiables? Let’s talk about it . . .

Built right here in Escambia County, this initiative is intentionally local because when women increase their income, they reinvest into families, businesses, and the broader community. The impact compounds.
In this panel, graduates share their stories of real shifts in confidence, revenue, visibility, and capability.
