Take Your Calligraphy From Paper to GlassAngie Mendez Live Event Artist and Educator
You're already confident with your calligraphy skills on paper, and now you're itching to try other surfaces as well. Sometimes pens, markers, or inks aren't the best mediums to get a lettering job done-- enter engraving!
In this micro lesson, I will show you the absolute bare-bones necessities to start engraving. Hone your skills first, then upgrade your tools as needed.
Once we familiarize ourselves with our setup, we’ll warm up with some calligraphy drills, then move on to our final piece. We'll engrave "Cheers!" on a glass together. We will first create a monoline engraving, then have the option to add faux calligraphy to mimic upstroke-downstroke variances.
I truly hope you join me for this (free!) session. The hardest part of any new skill is actually starting, but I’m here to hold your hand and walk to you through the process.
Happy engraving!
